Reading is Essential!!!

This blog could not wait , so I am sitting in class trying to get this out! As a child I was always reminded the "reading is essential" basically that means that without knowing how to read at a basic proficiency of English, you will be lost and confused in the world and everyone will think you are a fool.  So i wonder was I the only one that got this memo!!!

So it's the end of the semester and I have had numerous group presentations, most were ahhh but the one in my Spanish class today was ARGH!!!! Mel and I went 1st and there were no problems because we met twice, hang together all the time, and have a basic command of the English Language.  We talked openly with comprehension about Dia de los Muertos.  Then the mess began.  The next group spoke about Venezuela but they obviously copy and pasted the whole PowerPoint.  That one guy constantly mispronounces words.  Venezuela is really not that hard to say!!! Every group had at least one member that couldn't speak English.  Now I know why the teacher decided to have us speak in English instead of Spanish even though I speak Spanish just as well as English, but that's me :) 

To sum it up , it was terrible  horrible, and too much for a 9am class.  I'm pretty sure by the time you make it to the 5th grade reading aloud shouldn't be a problem anymore.  As I always say "who am i???" 

Let's go back to my hair journey.  I think I'm going to be wearing headbands a lot ( side note: a lot is 2 WORDS, why does no one know this!!!) I'm spending a lot more time moisturizing  so I can keep my ends.  AND my edges that is the goal!!! One day I'll take some pics but it's not now.  

More later considering I'm off today!!! How exciting for me but they don't get anything done.  There's nobody to transcribe their emails and to fill up their mini fridge!!1 Oh Well
